Giveaway Packaging Helps Promos Perform

Promotional and giveaway packaging is a great way to show customer appreciation. Because if there's anything customers like more than winning a contest, it's receiving a prize that exceeds their expectations. One of the most cost effective ways to do that is to invest in the packaging and box design.

Crafting unique packaging is a great investment for companies of any sizes. It increases brand recognition and recall impact. Not to mention it practically guarantees that the prize will be shared on social media, which is why giveaways are such common parts of influencer campaigns. When people see your prizes, you want to make an impression. Do it with your packaging.

Building the Perfect Giveaway Packaging

Contrary to popular belief, the perfect promo box does exist. And--good news for you--it's a repeatable formula.

  • Highlight your brand's personality. Quirky and fun? Luxurious and posh? Include those elements in everything from color choices to fonts to content.
  • Communicate particular aspects of your business through design. Chances are the giveaway is targeting a specific population. How can you leverage other products to market to this population?
  • Design giveaway packaging that stands out. No plain cardboard boxes, please.
  • Consider the swag. There's the main giveaway, of course, but what else?  What does the cushion material look like, can you throw in any other branded items, etc?
  • Edit the inserts. Whether it's a thank you card (with hashtag featured prominently), coupons or otherwise.

Voila! You have your perfect promotional packaging.

And Just Like That...

Giveaway and promo packaging is a big project, especially when it's being created alongside running a contest of any sort. But it doesn't have to be a painful project. The key is to partner with a company who knows how to create the packaging you need, at a price that fits your budget, and with a timeline that coordinates with your contest. And, well, we think know just the company.

Sunrise Packaging has a long history of creating giveaways and helping with promos. We can build packaging is impactful, ships well, and with all the possible options you can think of. Contact sales today to learn more.

Message Marketing for Ministries

Religion is a deeply personal thing, and requires a hard-to-pin-down resonance to attract followers. Message marketing, or finding ways to share your church with the goal to increase membership, might feel crass or uncouth. But the truth of the matter is that the competition is fierce, the approaches varied, and it's not easy to simply *connect* with the right audience. Engaging is modern marketing tactics and analysis is important for the health of any congregation.

From branding, technology implementation, and beyond, the opportunities for church's to level up their engagement are endless.  Cre8tive Marketing has plenty of insights for churches, and Sunrise can bring the packaging power.

Sermons, Lessons and More: Message Marketing Tactics

Faith-based organizations have an uphill battle when it comes to business. One of our favorite recent projects is the example to the side. This project uses custom foam insert for promotional products (just another aspect of custom packaging). The matte lamination around the unique design gives this package a unique look and feel, and the magnetic closure is the cherry on the top of this promotional packaging project.

Whether you are planning on digitizing sermons, hymns, or some other method of sharing the unique proposition that your church presents, we guarantee that the perfect packaging customization is out there for you.

Callings, Clarified

Financial Industry Marketing: Design the Customer Journey

The financial services sector is teeming with competition. As resources become more stretched, upcoming generations are increasingly aware of how important it is take rein of finances early on in their life. For any organization, marketing and branding is highly important to attracting and retaining customers. But financial industry marketing should also share key elements of the customer journey as well.

Why should someone trust your company with their money? What kind of returns can they expect, and more importantly, what kind of insight can they expect into the process? What are the important touch points? All of these factors contribute to the customer journey.

Boxes & Financial Industry Marketing

O8 Agency found that financial services companies that invest in their customer journey typically see big returns. To be exact, it's been shown to "...increase marketing-driven revenue by 24.9% YoY, reduce service costs by 21.2%, and reduce the average sales cycle by 16.8%."

One way to invest in this aspect of financial industry marketing is to through brand channels, including packaging options. The example to the side, with rose gold foil against a white background, implements  popular trends. It's chic packaging that speaks to younger audiences, and tells a story all on its own.

Customers will be drawn to the photogenic aspects of the packaging, and it can be used to house various materials assisting in the customer journey.

Customer Journey Packaging

The customer journey is conceptual versus physical. But at Sunrise Packaging, we can help with the physical packaging aspect of your financial industry marketing. Not every product has to make use of current trends (and, if we're honest, we recommend a more classic look). But that's something we can coach you on through the design process.

FlashPad Wallet: Pocket Marketing

Inspiration can come from random places. In the immortal words of Missy Elliott, sometimes you gotta put your thing down, flip it and reverse it. We didn't go quite to those lengths for our FlashPad Wallet, but this emblem of the pocket marketing movement has other elements of innovation.

Every Friday, we highlight a FlashPad project from the past on our social channels. Our FlashPad Wallets recently popped up, and we felt they deserve a bit more of the spotlight. These small-but-mighty packages can hold all the value of their big brother FlashPads. But with a leaner look and more condensed copy, they feel a little lighter.

Pocket Marketing Goes the Distance

Per the name, we envision pocket marketing as something that's as seamless as putting in your pocket. Literally and figuratively.

Our FlashPad Wallet is the inspiration for this concept. Aptly named, it fits in a pocket like a wallet in addition to functioning like one. The hard, sturdy case feels almost book-like, and the custom-formed internal cavity can hold a variety of items. In the past, we've used the FlashPad Wallet to hold gift cards, keys and key fobs, collector coins, challenge coins, coin markers, poker chips, and more.  As you can probably guess, this kind of packaging is versatile enough to work for just about any industry and for any purpose, from university new student orientations to celebrating a 20 year work anniversary.

Put It In Your Pocket

What's in your pocket?

Or more importantly, what's in your customer's pocket?

Take the extra step to ensure that it's your custom FlashPad Wallet. Sunrise takes pride in being a great collaborator with years of experience to inform design decisions and recommendations. Contact us today for your personalized packaging project!

Upscale Marketing Promotions

USB sticks might not be used as much as they once were, but that doesn't mean that we can't repurpose some of their inspirations. When we think about upscale marketing promotions, this is actually our top inspo for compact and effective packaging. Meet the Flashpad

The FlashPad is one of our flagship containers. As we said above, we initially designed it to hold custom USB drives, but the appeal goes far beyond just memory sticks. Car dealerships, mortgage companies, universities, and more have all utilized our FlashPad for different promotions. Here are just a few of the great and innovative approaches clients take.

Marketing Promotions That Go Beyond the FlashDrive

The FlashPad is a versatile packaging style that can speak volumes about your organization with just a little context.

  • Gift item. Initially, the FlashPad was a piece of conference swag. While conferences might feel like a thing of the past in these COVID-times, mortgage companies and realtors are repurposing that gift scenario by using FlashPads to hold gift cards or other small tokens of appreciation for clients.
  • Key fobs. Car dealerships and salesmen love that final wave goodbye off the lot. Our FlashPads give them a little more oomph by commemorating the new car experience by housing the extra keyfob of a new vehicle... Alongside the helpful sales person's business card.
  • Digital books, music, photos and more. Upscale marketing never sleeps. And that's especially true for artists of all types. Whether your medium is music, words, or photos, the FlashPad provides a safe home for your work and also provides an opportunity to give your users a little more.

These examples barely touch on the different ways that the FlashPad has met the needs of many businesses and products. Take a minute and reflect on your marketing needs. We guarantee that this might be the answer for more than one thing. If you are ready to talk and learn more about Sunrise Packaging, give us a call!

Sample Kits Speak Up

Finding ways to leverage branding is a goal of marketing divisions across the world. Depending on the product and the organization, this looks different when it comes to packaging. But sometimes, it's nothing less than serendipitous. Like with these sample kits we created for OCA energy drink.

Designing Sample Kits

As you might guess, sample kit design varies widely. Products require different packaging styles, which in turn can inform the variety of options available. Sunrise has experience in accommodating many different factors. While we might not say that the sky is the limit, we can make a lot of things happen.

But while some features might be compromised, things like color, content and a vibrant presence never need to be. The sample kits we created for the beverage to the side are great examples of this. Food or drink items have special needs that a non-perishable item doesn't. But in this design, we were able to cleanly integrate everything from solid foam for item safety to nutritional information. We're in love with the bright colors and quite literal pop of this particular product design.

Frustration Free Packaging

Frustration free packaging extends to making compromises on your ideas and vision. At Sunrise, we go above and beyond to make sure that your packaging and box design for sample kits is fully realized to the best of our ability. No matter what your budget or market regulations might indicate, we can provide your company with a range of options and recommendations.

If you've got ideas, we've got solutions. Let's meet in the middle and chat.

Software Company Marketing

Software company marketing efforts should be in alignment with a few things, and packaging or boxing of the physical components should be high on the list. Getting it right takes an understanding of your target market. Customer expectations, needs, and desires can help you decide how to design a software box. Alongside your branding and historic trends, obviously.

Sunrise Packaging has worked with many software organizations to design packaging for their products. While it might feel like most software is sold as downloads vs physical boxes, there are still some people who prefer the actual box style. These design decisions can also inform your online aesthetic (and vice versa).

Getting It Right: Packaging for Software Company Marketing

Understanding your customer base is the top way to ensure that you're delivering the right box or packaging style. As we noted above, many people are comfortable downloading software packages online. Others are not. Even if it means that the box they're buying off the shelf is empty and only holds a download key inside. The buyer might even have their machines offline for security reasons, meaning that they couldn't download something off the internet anyways. Slow speeds in remote regions or access limits are other reasons someone might purchase the physical software as well.

For those who are looking for that physical piece of software company marketing, the box is an important landmark for them. They are looking for familiar name and branding, as well as other standardized types of content. Engage with these people to be able to market to them effectively. In the example to the side, you can see how we assist software companies in designing USB drive packaging that keeps their software secure.

Engage With Your Audience

Audience engagement is the key to a lot of business. Knowing who they are, what they want and what problem your product solves for them will give you the empathy necessary to meet to their needs. This also means that you won't overwhelm them with options by providing them with the *right size* the first time.

Financial Marketing Kits

Financial marketing, for any organization, is about building trust with your customers. As your organization looks to the future at upcoming generations, it pays to know what their expectations are.

For example, millennials are coming into their own (financially speaking). They're the ones generating capital, the potential homebuyers and investors, and the audience most in demand for financial organizations. How are you marketing to them effectively? How are you sharing values and relating to them?

Financial Marketing for Every Institution

Relating to a generation of people is a tall order, but there are some universal techniques that can help you connect with millennial marketing tactics. According to Digital Authority, millennials are looking for specific things when they're choosing financial services:

  1. Incentives
Introductory offers and better incentives than their current institution are surefire draws.
  2. Awards and savings
Offering awards and saving them money on fees or other things is key to marketing to millennials.
  3. Digital services
92% of millennials pick their institution based on the digital services they offer. Basically, if they never have to physically set foot in a place, the better.

Additionally, millennials are big on personal referrals. Knowing someone who has had a good experience (and is willing to talk about it) is a great way to generate interest and business. One way that an organization can do that is by producing Instagrammable moments, like these marketing kits we created for Fifth Third Bank.

In these financial marketing pieces, you can see how Fifth Third integrated their brand into the design not only by the using their color palette, but by customizing the boxes' interior tray and magnetic flap. We love how this piece is bright and bold, and best of all, prominently features the financial organization.

Creating pieces that a customer wants to photograph isn't always the most intuitive process for financial services. Luckily, though, it is an area we have some experience in. Partner with Sunrise Packaging to start marketing to the Instagram generation. Contact our team today!

Startup Gift Boxes

There are no hard-and-fast rules for becoming a successful startup. And what we do know seems to change regularly, with businesses changing the norm and going against the grain to make an impact in their market. It's about making an impact and an impression. Creating that perfect package isn't easy, but at least we can help create that literal package in the form of startup gift boxes.

Gaining capital and wooing investors takes a special skillset. And gift boxes can soften any skillset or less than desirable first impressions. We know it's not always prudent to blow money on something that investors might view as a waste of cash, which is why Sunrise can provide you with options for startup gift packaging on a budget that doesn't look like it came out of the bargain box.

Impressions with Startup Gift Boxes

Your business needs to be able to scale, and we take the same approach with our product line. However, while our custom boxes might run into higher numbers than you'd like to spend, we have options in the midrange and lower. The best part is that they don't have to look like they cost less than our upscale packaging. With a variety of finishing options available, you can upgrade your box for less in a variety of ways.

Foil stamping, for example, is a great way to add literal sparkle to any package. And it's a process that can work on many materials, and can elevate the right design. You can also consider different finishing options like soft touch lamination, or laser printing, to name a few high-end options.

Hand Over the Reins

If you've spent time and tears on your company, it's hard to relinquish any part of it. But with our years of experience at Sunrise Packaging, you can ease up. Building off of your input and ideas, we can bring your startup gift boxes into reality efficiently and as budget-friendly as you need to be. When you're ready to create an impact with your investors, contact us.
