Designing a Custom Sample Box
The finished box features a silver foil stamp set against soft-touch Nuba paper, giving the exterior a refined, understated look. Inside, custom SBS inserts hold the wood samples securely in place during shipping and handling, while a magnetic closure keeps the presentation polished from first touch to last. Every material and structural choice was made to support the samples themselves, not just to house them.
For cabinetmakers, furniture designers, and other brands that rely on physical samples to sell their work, custom sample box design matters. Maybe more than it might seem. A sample that arrives loose, damaged, or poorly presented undercuts the quality it’s meant to demonstrate. A box built with the right inserts and closures protects the product.
