HOW TO SEND ARTWORK TO
Please submit you’re packaged and zipped artwork in the required formats using WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com/) using the free access. Please note the max file size you can send for the free version of WeTransfer is 2GB. Send them to the email address email@example.com.
DIMENSIONS AND YOUR ARTWORK LAYOUT
The dimensions, bleeds, and instructions are provided for you on a PDF template that will be provided to you once you have sent over your purchase order or signed quote. Be sure to read the template thoroughly and contact your salesperson if you have any questions.
Adobe Illustrator (vector .ai) is preferred by our Graphic Design department for the format of your artwork uploads. Artwork can be accepted in .psd, .jpg, and .tif formats, but the outcome is not as clear and sharp as we would like to see. Logos are best if they are in a vector format .ai or .eps- especially when your art involves foil stamping or spot UV print.
InDesign files are acceptable, but make sure your art is “packaged” – meaning all fonts and images must be sent along with the file.
Photoshop artwork is less desired, but if you must, please make sure pictures are high resolution 300 dpi or greater and fonts are outlined. All fonts must be OUTLINED in the art to eliminate font errors on our side. Photographs and images MUST be embedded into your file also to avoid them missing in your artwork proof. Photographs should be 300 dpi or higher for the best resolution.
PROOFS AND PROOF APPROVAL
Once you upload your artwork, a proof will be created based on your quoted item. A PDF proof will be delivered to you on all digitally-printed artwork. A hard copy proof will be delivered to you on artwork that is offset printed. On offset print, you will also receive a PDF proof and you have the choice to approve by sending you the hard copy or by the PDF. If you do choose to receive the hard copy proof, you will need to consider the additional time and how it affects your delivery date.
Important information about proofs: We do our best to match the colors that you provide in your artwork upload. Please be sure accurate information is included in your files and tell us whether or not you are working with specific PMS colors.
TIMING AND DELAYS
It is very important to receive your artwork not less than 3 weeks from your expected delivery date. The receipt of your artwork on your approvals is critical to the timing of your order. This timing may change and is dependent on the finished quantity in your order. Direct your questions to your salesperson to clearly understand the timing required.
