From September 11th through the 13th, the bi-annual Labelexpo Americas saw a record turnout in Rosemount,Illinois. The convention saw over 14,300 label and package printing professionals, which was a new record since the show’s debut in 1989.

Hundreds of local and international exhibitors utilized over 185,000 square feet to accommodate over 100 new product launches in presses and inks. Since the last event, this show has seen over 8.5% growth in space and over 12% increase in turnout. Due to the success and growth of Labelexpo Americas 2012, over 81% of the next show in 2014 was already booked by the time the event had come to a close.

Along with product launches, company debuts, and professional mingling, the expo provided a variety of workshops as well as conference presentations in which the attendees had the opportunity to participate to learn more about package printing and laser die cutting. As is in popular demand, the expo also featured an environmentally friendly subsection called the Ecovillage. The waste that was produced with product and feature demonstrations was recycled, and through the use of Greenwood fuels, this waste was collected and compacted to be used as fuel pellets.According to those behind the scenes and external participants, the show was a huge success that provided educational, business, and networking opportunities for a recovering market.
