Investment in Production Improvements at Sunrise Packaging

Sunrise Packaging announced today that they have made significant investments in new machinery for the turned-edge department this year.

They have added a new high speed lamination machine that has dramatically decreased lead times and increased efficiency.

In addition, Sunrise engineers have built a new cold gluing machine. The new machine incorporates optical robotic placement. The new gluing machine will also allow the Company to shorten their lead times for the turned-edge department because of the decreased set-up times and increased operating efficiencies.

"We are excited about the increased production capacity these new machines give us", says Rod Herdina, Director of Operations of Sunrise Packaging. "I am especially proud of my Engineering Department. They have put in a lot of effort and hard work to build these machines. Their knowledge is an asset to Sunrise."

Sunrise Packaging has been manufacturing stock and custom vinyl, casemade, and poly binders, media packaging, and custom packaging since 1982. Sunrise headquarters is in Minneapolis, MN.
